I finally got around to fixing the drafty window in the living room. The old seal was completely cracked and letting in a chilly breeze every time the wind picked up. I cleaned out the frame, then carefully applied a new silicone sealant along the edges, smoothing it out with a wet finger. It was a messy job but totally worth it—the room already feels warmer and much quieter. No more rattling or whistling sounds when it's windy outside.
