Leptin Resistance Supplements: What’s Working for Weight Loss

Aus Benutzerhandbuch X

Hi Dr. Childs! You mention using Victoza and Saxenda often, but do you have any information on Ozempic? My doctor prescribed this GLP-1 agonist for me. Curious if it is equivalent to the ones you talk about. Any of the GLP-1 agonists have the ability to work well including Ozempic. I just use Victoza/Saxenda as a way to describe all of those medications. Thanks for responding! One more question… I get off this medication in the future, will there be any change in my insulin response? For instance, will I have a difficult time stimulating insulin release from the pancreas without this medication? I have never had trouble with blood sugar regulation, but I’m worried coming off this medication that I might. I just don’t want my body to get "used to" having this medication, and not be able to respond naturally when getting off. Please let me know, thanks so much!

Hi, i happen to have a low body fat%, 13% on dexascan, buut i do indeed believe i am lepin resistant, the only reason i am at this body fat is exstrodinary wilpower where i am extremely hungry 24/7/365 and sometimes get seriously hindered sleep due to hunger. 4000-5000 calories per day. ’s hunger signals like a normal person i would likely pack on 50-100lbs of body fat. Hi dr child’s , I am interested in saxenda for weight loss as exercise and low calorie diet don’t work. But , I’m concerned about the black box warning with it. What have you seen as far as the risks of thyroid and pancreatic cancers go ? I’ve never seen anyone have any severe or extreme reactions to saxenda/Victoza and the newer studies I’ve seen suggest that the original claim of pancreatic cancer was overblown/overestimated. My current recommendation is to always assess whether the real risks, as well as potential risks, of any medication that you use outweigh the benefits you may see from it.

I believe that the pros outweigh the cons for most people when it comes to GLP-1 agonists. You’ve indicated that gLP-1 treatment for people with leptin resistance doesn’t have to be lifelong. How do you assess length of treatment and how to suggest weaning off to avoid weight gain? I base it off of their weight and leptin level and ability to wean off of the medication. Does your Leptin supplement have Bladerwack in it, and all the GLAs a person needs? I have regular bloodwork done each year but looking at my chart it has never been done. I am overweight, have hardcore sugar and salt cravings and need help have tried every diet out there including going back to basics of weightloss surgery. Will your leptin RX supplement help if my leptin is low? I am always hungry. It may help. There’s not really a good set of treatments for low leptin levels but many of the high leptin levels do seem to have at least some effect on those with low leptin. What is the link for your supplement for MedicGLP Official low leptin levels? I’m so frustrated with my weight loss.

But health is not the same as an absence of disease. So while not having metabolic syndrome is a good starting point, we feel you can do better. And we believe you should achieve these goals with a lifestyle that you enjoy, can maintain, and that leaves you feeling energetic and vibrant. Does achieving metabolic health seem difficult or out of reach? Do you look at the list above and think, how am I going to improve so many different aspects of my health? The good news is that many people can improve their metabolic health, and can improve multiple aspects of their health all at the same time. But the solution doesn’t come in a pill. The solution comes from how you live your life - how you eat, exercise, sleep, and manage your stress. Below are the best ways to improve your metabolic health, backed by science. There’s more than one way to eat to improve your metabolic health.

They are minimally processed. They contain very little sugar. They allow you to reduce calories without the need to count calories. They satisfy your hunger. They provide adequate nutrition. You may be able to improve your metabolic health by practically any eating pattern that helps you lose weight.8 The key to weight loss, however, is losing mostly fat mass without disproportionately losing muscle mass or reducing your resting metabolic rate.9 This can be a tricky balance. The key is finding a way of eating that you enjoy and can maintain long-term that positively impacts your metabolic health. But that doesn’t mean you need to lose weight to improve your metabolic health. Some lifestyle interventions can improve metabolic health well before any meaningful weight loss.10 Here are some dietary options from which you can choose. One observational study even suggested improved survival for those with prediabetes who ate a lower carbohydrate diet, and a non-randomized trial reported glucose normalization in over 50% of participants with prediabetes.12 Although the data are not consistent, some studies suggest low-carb diets benefit metabolic health above and beyond their effect on weight loss.
